Duck property owners now have access to complimentary septic inspections through a grant-funded pilot program offering a simple, proactive way to protect both your home and our shared coastal environment.

A well-maintained septic system plays a critical role in safeguarding water quality, preventing costly repairs, and preserving the natural beauty that makes Duckso special.

Funded by the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS®, this voluntary program provides no-cost inspections conducted by qualified, independent professionals. Availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Inspections are non-invasive and scheduled during the spring and fall off-season, giving property owners a clear understanding of their system’s condition without disruption.
